We\u2019re also highlighting 20 additional books to spark curiosity in young readers about the food on their plates and the plants growing around them. What I love about these books is that they center the joyfulness of discovering where food comes from and how delicious it can be.<\/p>\n

I also deeply respect the way that books on this list like A Plate of Hope: The Inspiring Story of Chef Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s and World Central Kitchen<\/b><\/em> by Erin Frankel,\u00a0Lucas and Emily\u2019s Food Bank Adventure<\/b><\/em> by Dave Grunenwald,\u00a0Saturdays at Harlem Grown: How One Big Idea Transformed a Neighborhood <\/b><\/em>by Tony Hillery and other books don\u2019t avoid complex topics but rather find creative, appropriate ways to help young readers understand how food changes lives.<\/p>\n
